Il concerto - presentato dall’attore Jon Stewart - ha visto Bruce Springsteen salire sul palco con la sua E Street Band. ma soprattutto ha visto la presenza di grandi personaggi della musica come Patti Smith, Elton John, John Legend , Sting, Ben Harper, Jackson Browne e Neil Young.che hanno reso omaggio alla musica di Springsteen con inedite versioni dei classici del repertorio del rocker del New Jersey.
